I know of the upcoming auctions but being a market style sale advocate I would prefer to sell my odds and ends that way and not have to ship them off to auction.
I have posted a few ads for private sales but would love a one place set up to sell the rest...
So anyone planning a fall market sale?

I agree, Hidden, but I have not heard of one. It is a good time of year for one too. Cool and not usually a lot of rain so people could have one outside. It opens the possibilities for a venue. Maybe someone or some group will step up if there is enough interest.

I am interested in selling- Central Albera

I would be willing to have one if there is enough interest. Lou

My hubby and I have talked so many times about setting up those canopy style tents and bringing in generators (if needed) for a sale up here. We would just use one of our quarters that is not connected to our home quarter where our animals are. Only problem is, we are so far north and out of the way, I highly doubt that anyone would even come up this far, as there is very few hotels in town and town is still 40 minutes from us.

Yes the key to these sales is being central, and close to many chicken people.
I have enjoyed Red Deer sales, the Milo Sale, the Moose Jaw sale and the Swift Current sale that was a first this year.
I would love to do a sale here as well but just not central enough, not close to any major cities, and so not sure what the draw would be...

Thanks Lou, there was talk of maybe a sale in Swift, lets see how that works out here and if it is not a go maybe a sale at your place again would be good, last fall was a very nice sale.

Sounds good Hidden. Sue I live in Moose Jaw, Sk. You could stay at the Temple gardens mineral spa, go on the trolley, take a tour and buy some chickens. Lol.

Sue that Spa is awesome! We go there at least once a year if we can. I know lots of people that do the spa then the Moose Jaw auction, so maybe we just need to change it up a bit and do the spa and market sale Very Happy

I noticed the 23 is a day off school here so looks like we will be planning to make it to that one!

I am planning to be at a Swift Current sale Sept 29, will post when we know more details....

There are people talking about doing a sale in October, something Red Deer-ish.
It would be a 1 day event.

Miry that would be awesome if you and your clan could make it to the Red Deer Show and Sale! We missed you guys last year.
I hope you plan on bringing some of those Dominique's. The one hen we have from you is a favorite of everyones at work.

Well I imagine Chantecler_eh? wants to try and take the American class by storm but I will definitely plan to bring some Doms to represent the breed the best I can!
