I'm not saying I'll even be able to make it to a sale BUT I would sure love too!!

If I wanted to wait for the biggest(to really make my trip worth it) sale which one would that be? (no further south than Red Deer)

I'm sooooooo far away! Wish I lived in Central Alberta but I like my home here too Smile

Is the Wetaskiwin sale a must see?

If Wetaskiwin is anything like Red Deer last year (Which I am sure it will be) it is a great sale to add to your list. We travel the distance because it is well planned and quite an assortment of stuff there. Incubators, birds, crafts, plants and more!
Each year it gets better with more education on the sellers parts, and hopefully well put together display booths for selling as well.
I always encourage people from the north to make the trip down, it would be the closest to you guys and it is not an AUCTION!

Wetaskiwin this year and Red Deer last year are essentially the same sale in a different location. The sale is hosted by Canadian Heritage Breeds, a non profit group that supports awareness, holds shows, and provides education to breeders and the public alike. They are an excellent sale to support as the proceeds go back into the club itself. Run by volunteers, this sale is always well executed, organized and draws huge numbers of buyers and sellers alike. This is a event not to be missed and in a fairly convenient central Alberta location.

Smoky River- Sounds like a fantastic plan!! I might have my two kids with me though. He's working that weekend. I'm also going to the dog show in GP on the 22nd so I'll really have to sweet talk Smile

Schipperkesue- thanks for the info!

Haha, I obviously have chickens on my mind!!
I am not showing this year. Just wanted to check it out and hopefully I'll have my male and female both in show coats for next year. It's hard living in the bush with long haired dogs!
They are havanese. What breed do you have?

Smoky River- I can go both weekends because hubby won't be home anyways Very Happy Just have to find someone to watch the animals!

Well I talked to hubby and it just is not going to work for me this year with jim gone and if I go that far I would be leaving my four oldest at home alone and I am just not comfortable with leaving them all day alone with both hubby and myself that far away. Maybe we could do this next year with a couple sales, and if we have anything for sale maybe share a booth

Schipperkes, I had to google that breed! I have never heard of it or seen one that I know of. What are they bred for?

Smoky River, I would love to bring something up for you. I am pretty sure I am going so hopefully nothing changes.
