what color are rhode island red eggs?

Last Sept I got 2 rhode island red pullets for my daughter. They
started to lay recently... these huge dark brown eggs with dark spots
on them . Is that the correct color. The eggs are larger than the buff
orpington egg and the barred rock egg. There are no other chickens
there. Anybody know ? can someone send me a pic of a RIR egg? Thanks
