Yes, this horrible condition occurs every so often when I attend a sale. The disease is characterized thoughts of lust towards waterfowl, itchy hands as they move toward my wallet, and serious tremors as I move away from the birds that have caught my eye.

The only cure is purchasing the birds in question.

And now I am afflicted. I have been possessed by East Indies.

You can't make those sorts of admissions without posting photos!

Well, I will have to send them to work so I can post them... Unless someone can tell me how to post a picture using an iPad?

It was horrible to see, the twitches, the ferociously intense stare as the first box of indies rolled forward... I was afraid!!!!

Oh yeah, Arctic! I hear you caught the dreaded frizzles at the same auction.

Thank goodness Sue was there to run interference, for I was at a great risk of contracting the East Indies myself! However, I did not escape POPWA unscathed. Having narrowly escaped the dreaded East Indies malady, I was caught completely off-guard and plunged head over heels into a full-blown case of Old English! Shocked

To witness the intesity between the Arcticsun and Sue was something to behold. The intense eye contact as each lady gazed at their prey. The quick reflexes of their bids and the cold stares to those who dared tried to outbid them in their pursuit of each of their prizes.

Truly, these ladies are fierce!

Oh my, that sounds like a terrible malade. Well, at least you got some eye candy for all the twitching of the hands and fingers heading to the wallet. Nice. Ya, pics would be wonderful!! Have a beautiful day, CynthiaM.

There needs to be some sort of warning system put into place! This is VERY EASILY TRANSMITTED! Within minutes of arriving home my youngest daughter was showing symptoms, and in less than an hour she had it bad and was downloading plans to build them a lovely coop of their own!

This simply cannot happen! We have always had only the largest of the large chickens. This was done on impulse, but with the intention of passing them quickly along to someone who I knew would give them a good home. But they are so very gentle and sweet! These teeny tiny, dear little birds will perch contentedly on my finger and make a quiet little purring sound. No fluttering or squawking. Just the sweetest little things. I love you
SEE WHAT I MEAN! A warning is needed! I did not have a chance!!

Well I thought you all showed remarkable restraint unfortunately!
Once you have OEG, you'll never irradicate that disease! You are now completely infected!
So much for us, we now have Fantails......I don't think Buckley's will help that!

Funny you should mention showmanship Higgins. As I sat down at the table this morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and my new edition of Feather Fancier that just arrived...what did I find but a wonderful article with everything you ever wanted to know about showmanship! Complete with photo of our own Tara Higgins and young Amy Smith! Very thorough article...well done!
