Well finally after 15 months of waiting I have a date for my knee replacement, April the 30th is replacement day. Now that it's happening so soon I will be scrambling to get things set up in a way that is easy for my husband and neighbours to look after plus many chicks still hatching. But I guess it will all play out as it does.

That is great. I hear they have made great headway with the whole knee thing now.
How long is recovery?

Oh girl, you will be like a new woman. You will recover in a most wonderful way and be able to do things you haven't been able to for years I am sure. Just in time for recovery by summer, yay!! You always remember, you have lots of friends not far away that can come and help, this is something that we do to all pull together. Have a great day, CynthiaM.

Good luck Heather, hope it all goes well. My step mom's knee surgery went very smooth, she was up and walking well in 1 week. Hope you are so lucky.

That's great news Heather. The two people I know here in our community that had knee replacements in the last year are thrilled with the results. It'll all be worth it.

Every single person I know, who has had it done, has said that they wished they had it sooner. Apparently it's amazing. My teacher from Grade 7 went from practically being in a wheelchair to getting around with a cane.

Best of luck in your health and recovery! I doubt I can help being so far away, but if there's anything I can do, let me know.

Thank you everyone for the kind wishes. I am more concerned about getting everything set up for the birds so that it is workable for my hubby, with additional help, plus all the chicks already out and more coming. But it will all work out as best can be no point and getting myself in a dither and I am sure in once the deed is done it will be hurting enough I will have that to think about. I have been waiting so long and putting everything on hold and when I finally say screw it and move on with life and set lots of eggs, they call, a person just can't win. Anyways a big Thanks all.
