We now have Blue/Black/Splash orpington eggs available from our beautiful Orpington flock!

At this time we have blue and black orpingtons in our breeding flock, and we anticipate a variety of blue/black/splash colored chicks to hatch from our eggs. Our blue orpington flock has come from several breeders that have excellent, show quality stock and we hope to be exhibiting several of our orpingtons in 2012. We do not use any hatchery stock in our breeding pens!

Our current flock of birds have excellent body shape and nice feathering, the blue is a nice slate color and the blacks have the desired beetle green sheen to them. The most recent additions to our flock have grown amazingly, never once having a gangly phase and always growing well proportioned, maintaining their excellent shape. The bloodlines we are working with for 2012 include: James May, Dick Horstman, Greendale Heritage Farm.

We ship anywhere in Canada, via Canada Post expresspost (we have a ventureone card so eggs get to you in two business days and you get a 5% discount on shipping). We have had great results with shipping our eggs, they are shipped upright to ensure the least amount of damage to the aircells as possible. We ship every Monday and Tuesday.

Eggs are $50/dozen, and extra eggs are always sent.

First available eggs:

Took an egg photo today, one of my hens is laying me these lovely huge eggs. Here is one of her average sized eggs next to a turkey egg:

Thanks! It was my third egg for the third day in a row like that. She lays them in our open shed, next to the chain saw Suspect Strange lady.. Sadly, promptly after taking this photo I dropped that pretty big egg on the floor Sad So clumsy sometimes. But, I did have a look and that was a single yolk, fertilized egg.. you bet I'm going to be hatching some of those! I shall make monster chicks! Razz alien

I had a bit of a power problem with one of my hovabators last week with the batch of coro, blrw and blues that i won in the first auction. I thought they were doomed for sure.

But 1 blue has hatched and a coro is pipped!

You can add IRONChicken to the FrankenChicken as well!

These are some healthy birds
