Rare Gamebird Order for Aug/Sept UPDATED - Price list

I decided to start a new post and include the price list on it. I was able to talk to Wade and get his price list with his list of current birds. If you are interested in being part of such a order please let me know. Plans are to have the birds come in this fall to Edmonton on the weekend of the Innisfail auction. That way I could pick them up and distribute them to everyone.

I was able to talk to my friend Wade in Newfoundland and get the price list for his bird from him. Behind each type I have put a link to show what they are like. Please realize these are not chickens, and are not priced that way. Also, availability depends on how the birds feel, some years they are fertile, some years they are not. By placing your order early you may have a chance to get any which hatch this year. I have attached links with information and pictures of some of the more rare birds.

Several people have asked me how shipping would work, and how much? I posted this reply on ACE and thought someone here might be interested.

Shipping depends on how many people buys in. For example one small dog carrier might cost $100 but it could handle 6 pairs of White Bobwhites for 3 people, 2 pairs each. Would work out then to approx. $35 each person.

To the best of my knowledge Wade is the only person in Canada who successfully year after year raises some of these rare birds. I do not know of anyone else in Canada who have Black Francolin and Chinese Bamboo Partridge for sale, and possibly only 1 other person who has the Mountain Bamboo. Same goes for Erkel Francolin and Albino White Chuckers. This is a great chance to get these very rare birds and maybe develope a group of more breeders of them.
