My Bil gave me a bag of rabbit pellets,was wondering if they could be fed to birds,I would think they'd be mostly alfalfa.thanks

I fed some to my chickens last year. They didn't like them so I tricked them by grinding the pellets, and mixing them with rendered pork fat, rolled oats, a bit of flax, and some bird seed for a winters treat.

The extra greens would probably be good for them and perhaps add a little colour to the winter egg yokes.

You can also soak them in water to make alfalfa porridge.
