Fuzzy I do just under 1/2 a teaspoon per GALLON or a small pinch per litre. If a litre of water with it in it appears obvioiusly yellow, you've put too big a pinch in. Smile

I find it doesn't take long for Poul-vite to go 'funky' in the water. With it being cooler, that might not happen so quickly. Keep an eye. But I think it's a good add-in.

I use 1/8 tsp per 1 litre and redo the mixture every 24 hrs. Smile

Thank you! The last few chicks to hatch are still weak this tonight. So I thought I would add some vitamins to their sugar water. I also gave them crushed hardboiled egg yolk twice. They are still catching up yo the others in energy.

Hey fuzzy, I'm bumping this because I meant to type 1/8 tsp per 1 litre, not 1/4 tsp. Embarassed I edited my original post to reflect the correct amount.

I\'m Sorry

so 1.5 tsp per 4 L is way too much? No wonder mine don't like it much...

When I did the math, I got 2 grams per gallon. Grams is a weight (mass?), not a measurement (volume). So I came up with 2grams of weight equalling just less than half a teaspoon. I can't remember how I determined that but I did. Surprised

No worries i did a pinch then decided on another. I think 2 pinches equals a 1/8 tsp scratch

You'll know fuzzy if it's too much cause they won't drink it if it's too strong.

Whew! Glad you went with the pinch x2 fuzzy. Wink Yeah, they won't drink it if it's too concentrated. I learned this from my first chickies...I had their water glowing NEON... whoops.

I cheated and looked up the measurements on BYC. Embarassed Math is so not my strong suit.

The funny thing it's not neon like the super booster. Which I am certain I add way too much powder to water of that as it's always neon. it was yellow on my finger just not in water

Yeah, the super booster is way more potent stuff I think. That's what I must have had I mixed up neon yellow, not the pol vite. Gah. Memory must be slipping... Rolling Eyes
