4 or 5 days ago a pigeon started hanging around outside the house. He/she would sit on the roof right above the door and it seems to be here to stay. We don't normally have many wild pigeons around, this is the only one I have seen lately. It seems unafraid of us. sometimes it comes off the roof and sits on a table on the deck looking at me through the kitchen window. I thought it might be injured but it seems to fly ok.
So today it was sitting on the gate right beside the chicken coop. I dunno, could this be someone's tame pigeon? I was almost able to touch it today before it left the gate and flew up to to the roof of the coop.
Can you tell from a picture if it is an ordinary wild one, or maybe an escapee from a pigeon breeder?

Pigeon can certainly be tamed. If its that tame it probably came from a loft. If you can catch it and if its from a breeders loft it will have a band #. The band number are recorded and he owner can be traced.
