Powdered sulphur for gardens okay for chickens?

My partner needs to spread some powdered sulphur over his freshly planted blueberries in an area where our chickens free range. He will mix it in so it's not visible and put sawdust over it. Two links I've found on it says it's actually good to give chickens for parasites but this is garden quality not feed grade (if that even exits for sulphur). Anybody have any thoughts on this?
