I think we need a "Whats Hatching section" but anyway.

I got about 24 eggs from claire and tomorow it hatching day. She sent me EO's, Black Pennies, Weaten Am's, and Lav d'Uccles. I also have a bunch of my own eggs due at the same time. 14 of Claires are under 2 setting hens and the rest with mine are in the incubator. One of the setting hens got off her nest this morning to eat and I had a chance to look at the eggs. None are pipping yet but I held a few up to my ear and could hear alot of noise comming from the eggs.

I just checked the ones in the incubator. 2 of my own dUccle crosses, 1 of my BLRW's, and 1 Black Pennie from Claire have hatched. Most of the rest all have pipped. Guess my incubator is a bit warmer than the setting hens. But all looks good so far.

What great pictures, shows the whole sequence, look at the egg at the bottom pic. completely zipped. Fluffy chicks, wet chicks, pipped eggs, great shots.

Well today is the hatching day and I have tones of chicks. 20 chicks hatched of just Claires (not including my own). 4 Weaten Am's, 5 Black Pennies, 10 EO's, and 1 Lav d'Uccle. There are still a few more eggs that have not hatched yet but they have not piped eather so I'm not expecting much from them. But we will see.
