I just put 2 dozen EO eggs in the bator and will be putting in many more over the next few months

You're not crazy. Winter months have always been my hatching times. Since I have to have a heat lamp running in the hen house all winter anyway, may as well put chicks under it!

-40 and -50, around here need more than a heat lamp, a very nice neighbour has offered me free a 2000 sq foot heated building for the winter, and he is so exited about learning about birds that he has built a incubator room and brooder room and is now wanting to build breeding pens for other breeds like BLRW and Marans and more.
