Wanted in Edson Area

Looking for chickens of all kinds to increase my flock. Ordered a bunch from a hatchery only to be told they are unavailable due to a "bad year".

That is sad, we put our trust in Hatcheries just to be let down.
I breed and hatch here and try to get everyone everything they order but there are times that incubator failure or poor fertility have caused me issues as well. Sorry you didnt get your order.

If you are willing to go for a drive I have quite a few breeds here I am looking to sell off, tonnes of ducklings as well that I would be willing to make a deal on, just hatched 30+ yesterday.

If you are coming to the Calgary area I may have chicks available.

We were very upset as I had ordered about 125 birds in total for myself and 2 other friends, only to find out they could provide nothing but Brown Leghorns and not until August 15th! Anyway due to my work schedule I am very limited for times I can travel...however I am planning a trip to Winnipeg in August, so may be able to pass through your area in Sk on the way back. Also may be able to arrange someone to pick up birds for me in the Calgary area... what are you both asking per bird etc.

I have a flock of 9 Welsummer hens and a rooster (they are a year old, maybe 13 or 14 months). They come from a Earl LaBounty in Chilliwack. I have no idea if they are show quality or not, but Earl has nice birds and is a serious breeder.

They lay a very nice cinnamon brown, with dark chocolate speckles.


I also also have 2 1/2 year old Barnevelders. No rooster.

Light Brahama Chicks- May 2011- $15 ea
Red Laced White Bantam Cornish- May 2011- $15 ea
EEs- May 2011- $10 each
Mystery Chicks- from McMurray hatchery. I think they may be Delaware- $10
