Oceanside Poultry Swap

Well, the first Oceanside Poultry Swap is in the books. The weather was beautiful, lots of "walk/drive-bys" at the location and everything seemed to go smooth. I saw turkeys, ducks, chickens, and a few rabbits. Oh, and some plants too. It's still a young swap and there was limited advertising but I saw several people leaving with boxes and buying feed next door.

Congratulations to the organizers, it looks like this is going to be a successful swap!

No, I didn't organize it. It's something that's been talked about for a few months out here but the legwork was done by two other people that aren't on this forum but they are on a different forum.

There is at least 1 or 2 swaps every weekend out here on the Island so getting support was easier but I think if you're looking at doing soemthing for your area, you may be suprised how people (and companies) are willing to embrace it.
