This is 6 ft square, 4 feet high in middle of peak. Used 3 bracket sets from Lee Valley and two rolls of 3x6' 1" hardware cloth and 6-10' 1x2's.
It is a pretty light foundation and I may have to take off a bit of wood and use a tarp instead for shade/cover.

I can't figure how to host two pics in one post so I have to do it this way.
Guess I have this in the wrong section, not trying to sell it, just wanted to show what I am working on..

That's great Miry. Thanks for posting. My goal is to learn to build small framed pens like that and give my partner a rest. He's got plenty of other things to do than to continue building me things for my chickens.

Again, thanks for taking the time to post this.

I cant figure out what to do on the ends though, I don;t want any more wood because the weight will be hard on the frame when I move it around/set it down. Guess I will have to do wire both ends and then cut a door in each?

If I can build it you can too! I have only hand tools, and am not very good at measuring, I like to eyeball everything and use any wood I can find lying around!
I think I will try to use 2x2s for the cross pieces of the base for my next one, I want the bottom frame to be a bit sturdier!

Thanks. I appreciate your encouragement and must say using those brackets tells me I have a ways to go to get to where you're at but I will. I like the idea of using it for a hen and chicks. How nice for them.
