FVPFA 2012 Winter Show

I have uploaded the details to our website for our upcoming Winter Show. This is only the first edition of our entry package, so the cash awards are not yet listed. We are having a junior scavenger hunt, showmanship competitions, art and photo contest and 2 judging contests.

More details will come as we have plans finalised.

We will be having a banquet on Saturday October 27th as well. Please see the details in the entry package.

who can i all expect to see at this show?
ill be there with 28 birds in the show.

We are! Linden and I have 7 each. Fingers crossed the weather holds for travel tomorrow!

Debbie and I and waiaa and Qualicum Chick (ACE) will be traveling together. I will be making myself a dorky name tag with Island Girl on it and a twine bow. Please approach me and tell me who you are, I love meeting people and being able to put a face with a name. We are going down with empty cages that we plan to have filled for our return trip

Is the sale all day, or is there a time for the sale?

i think the sale is on saterday and sunday. friday night is just exibitors and i normally look everything over then.
i will have for sale:
1 pair of strawberry german owls,
1 pair of black german owls
4 black muscovy drakes
1 pair of grey call ducks
various white rock and welsummer pullets
they might not all be there but i only live 10 mins away from this show.
im the 6 foot 3 17 year old with dark hair. not that hard to find:)

Hi Monika,

All exhibitors will receive name tags in their exhibitor packages, so they should be easy to identify.

The auction birds will be opening for bids at 10 am on Satuday and it will end on Saturday afternoon. Some of the birds we have so far are barred plymouth rock large fowl, silver leghorn large fowl, welsummer large fowl, some sussex, australorps, and more.

Some of the sales area birds that I am aware of are Rhode Island Red bantams, Silkies, possibly cornish bantams, old english game, modern game, call ducks and more! The sales area will be open during regular show hours on both days, depending on how long the birds last. I suspect it may not be long with what I ahve been hearing!

Thanks for the info Clayton. Do you know if anyone is bringing Porcelain Booted Bantams either to the show or the sale/auction?

The show has now ended and we are all back to reality! I would like to thank all of those people who came out to support our club and be part of the fun. Also, a big congratulations to all the winners from the weekend! I will be posting the official results by the end of the week on here and likely I will have the website updated today. I will also post pictures on the Exhibition Poultry Facebook group as well.

We had a great weekend. I have to say I was especially impressed by your clubs effort with the junior exibitors during the weekend. It is nice they are included and valued.

Hi FLF,

Thank you for coming! I strongly encourage the junior events as they are the future of this hobby and without their prolonged and dedicated interest, it would not take long for it to disappear! (Never mind the fact that when they hit 15 or 16 they can stack cages as well as the rest of us!)

It was a great weekend and thank you for being part of it! The exhibitors and their contributions are what make a successful show. I would also like to thank our visitor from the interior of BC and our island guests as well for making the trip.

The FVPFA Winter Show was professionally run and an absolute pleasure to attend. Amazing entries. The Junior's were well mannered young gentlemen. They have amazing opportunities and mentor ship. Way to go
