I have gotten 3 eggs out of 4 days now, I am so excited. I can't wait till the hens starts to produce some nice sized eggs and then I am going to incubate....Yes I said that was it, and wishing now I had a small incubator to set them in, but I want to hatch every egg this little (well not so little) hen lays and then make up a nice little group of these barred rocks I got from Heather.

I wish I was closer so that I could lend you my 24 egg Brinsea (can`t remember the name of it and am too tired to go and look downstairs). You know I could mail it to you and you could hang onto it til I can come and get it from you, possibly in Sept. I am hoping to come down to Brooks to visit my best girlfriend for my 50th birthday. Let me know, I could have it in the mail tomorrow!

Yes I have a Little one in storage as a future gift for my oldest daughter. Doesnt seem fair to break it out for my bennefit. LOL
I have to wait till these are not pullet eggs anymore, it is not advised to hatchout pullet eggs. I have from other breeds in the past but these are good sized chickens and I hate the chicks to be short sided from the start. I will wait and just load up the large sportsman week by week and go from there.
Thanks for the offer on your bator Islandgirl, very generous of you, but I will wait...

Woohoo, that is fantastic! Smile

Jayme, if you still need a smaller unit I have a Hovabator (preset-Genesis 1588) that is just sitting in storage right now. You’d be welcome to borrow it if you like. With the auto turner it holds 42 eggs. Just let me know and I can bring it along when we meet up on the 30th for the ducks. Very Happy bounce
