Alrighty...you guys are all going to think I have a screw loose...but I started the first of my seeds in the house today....-27 outside.  I planted celery, peppers, and eggplant today.  The peppers and eggplants are an experiment, I've never tried them before.  I"m going to move them to the heated greenhouse in May.   bounce

No, not nuts at ALL. I started my potato seedlings too. Have nice pea sized blue/black spuds in a south window. Nut trees coming up on every flat surface near a window, grin. I never tried eggplants. let us all know how they do???

Seems like a nice way to spend a cold day!

I made cinnamon buns to help pass the day away here.

My leeks are about one month old now, in a south facing window. As soon as I get my seed order into Saltspring, and get back my order, which only takes about a week, I too will begin the peppers, same windowsill. Won't be starting tomatoes for a little while yet, but yes, spring fever has begun. Have a wonderful day, CynthiaM.

My early plants are about 3 weeks old now. Peppers are going to sprout a third leaf soon. Lots of herbs up, onions need a hair cut already, and I have about 2000 wave petunias up. This week will plant tomatoes, a few more herbs, and maybe end of the week will bethe bedding plant petunias. Hopefully will throw heat in the greenhouse by March 20, if the weather smartness up! It is definitely feeling like spring here!
