I am starting the hunt for a nice Welsummer Cockerel
I have two separate lines of Welsummer pullets and would like a good male to compliment them
Some are from Dan Smith, and some are from Earl Labounty
Am looking for some pretty dark eggs out of the lot
thanks

Bigrock, getting a male from Cornel would be a wise choice. I have heard he has some very nice line there in that breed. You don't need one yet, so that is good. And....more people go to the coast in the spring than winter, so timing would be much better. have an awesome day, CynthiaM.

I always thought this was cool, the Welsummer rooster was the breed of the rooster on the Kellogg's corn flakes box. I don't know, when I think back on this package of cereal, I can remember I always admired the rooster on the box, I thought it was beautiful, and always gave me warm and fuzzy feelings when I looked at that bird. Still does. I think it was a wonderful "logo" I shall call it, for the brand of cereal, how cool is that! For surely, a most beautiful rooster in that breed, yipee!
