Iris's questions

First question does anyone know what type of Iris
these are?

Second question I have over 100 dutch iris bulbs to plant but
since we have had so much rain I am not sure if I should plant
them incase they rot from rain or get soggy then it freezes.
Have thought of planting them in tubs of peatmoss and soil
in my hay shed for the winter and then into there permanent
home in spring.

Are they Siberian Iris? Is it possible to plant them in a raised bed? Though most Irises are water tolerant, some even preferring boggy conditions.

They are not in a raised bed it is ground level
between the side walk and the house.
They appear to be the only thing that will grow
there so would like to get more and spread
them along the whole front of the house.

When we moved to Kamloops there was a little clump of white iris in the front garden.  I wanted to move it but it all came apart.  I spread it around but I was sure I'd killed them all.  The next spring I had way way more iris and by the 5th year when we left it was MASSIVE!  A 12inch by 12inch clump became about 10-12 24x24inch clumps by the 5th year

I don't know about new iris bulbs but if you split your existing bulbs up now that they've finished you'll  probably end up with more next year
