I am looking to buy some older chicks as pets for my children and am wondering the best methods for shipping birds that are 8 weeks and older. I don't live near a West Jet route but am close to Air Canada and Pacific Coastal airlines. Has anyone used these or what other methods do you use? I am just concerned that it will cost me a small fortune.

Thanks!
Jen

Air Canada I used, and yes they are much more expensive than West Jet. I had good sucess though, shipped chicks from Medicine Hat to Ontairo, not an issue, the chicks handled the trip just fine.
I used a cat kennel to ship them in with food and water. It is a good idea to put in wet veggies since the water spills right away. I like to use Cucumbers or watermellon.
