Smiling, I knew turkey Louise was a girl, she has a teeny tiny snood!! What a glorious sight, I am not kidding, such beauty and it is amazing the patterns on the tailfeathers. So perfect, so beautiful....wonder if I ever brought a picture here of one of my female turkeys struttin' her stuff, I'll find it and put it on here again, it may be here, but it was just so cool, thought I would bring it. Those are amazingly beautiful. Something about black on white, think that is why I enjoyed the light Brahmas when I had them, just such contrast. Oh, boy, have you ever brought things to liven up the eyeballs this morning. Thank you. I had a friend in Chilliwack back on the coast that had buff and black cochins. Just before we moved he began to raise the Royal Palm turkey. I remember seeing all those beauties of black and white. Always wondered what he ever did with the breeding, we lost track of each other through time itself. Have an awesome day, CynthiaM.

This is the male and female, she is not strutting her stuff

We had, we think, 2 tom whites. Dumb as rocks those two.

We were fortunate enough, this weekend, to pick up 2 pairs of Bourbon's from rbryne, and we can definitely, now, tell the difference. The hens make a distinctly different noise and are smaller. They haven't strutted for us yet, but the boys are doing all the strutting they need to.
