Poultry Party and Sale ~ Red Deer AB

Poultry Party and Sale, May 28th, 10 am to 4 pm.

Booths are $35. Electrical drops for an additional $15. Booth stall space is 10ft by 10ft plus an additional 10ft by 6ft of frontage.

This Sale should be awesome! All indoors so the weather won't be an issue!

Well, hopefully Buff and Runner ducklings. Maybe some LF white cornish and Welsummers.

It would be great if you can Lou, I have so much fun at these sales. They are crazy busy for selling things, but you get to meet a lot of different people, and since it is indoors this year hopefully more time to visit after the sale and during.
The Vet talk the night before is an added bonus, hopefully you can make it to both.

Looks like we are bring naked necks, standered cochins, frizzles, silkies, dutch, and guineas!

Yes this is going to be an awesome sale.
I will be bringing four colours of Jersey Giant chicks and hatching eggs, Blue, Black, Splash and White.
White, Partridge and Buff Chantecler chicks and hatching eggs.
Ameracuana chicks and eggs.
I have started a variety of Heritage tomatoes, plus some of my favorites that do well in the prairies
Some Egyption walking onions, for those of you that didn't get any last year.
Mountain Orchids, this plant is one of Liz's favourites.
And a mix of different flowers.

Well, since I am pretty much only hatching buff Orpingtons and White Chanteclers...Surprise! I will be offering those 2 breeds for sale!
If I am lucky enough to have a few Cochin chicks, I'll bring them too. Also my extra blue Cochin rooster if he doesn't sell by then, but already have some interest in him. Should be a great day in Red Deer! Really looking forward to connecting with people and seeing all the birds they have.

Hidden I can't wait for the Vet talk.

I should have some Speckled Sussex, Ameraucana, and d'Uccle chicks.
Possibly some Eastern Wild Turkey poults, maybe some purebred year old heritage hens and probably some perennials too.

I know what is good for me, so i will be there. However, there is a good chance i might be going on friday so i can go to the vet talk as well.

I will be attending as well,

Bringing with me to the sale, Black, Blue Orpington Chicks, a few turkey poults and a few mixed breed chicks as well.
Also planning on bringing some barred rocks, buff orps.

This will be my first time attending a sale like this looking forwards to meeting all sorts of people. Stop by and say hello.

Will you have any Barred Rock eggs for sale then? If it is anything like the last red deer sale there might not be much time to walk around and chat if you have a booth lol. Did have some good chats with people after the sale though!

I agree KRL, but hopefully we can all visit after the sale. We are staying an extra night to relax and visit with friends and not have to rush home. It will be so nice to be in a warm, dry building this year and not worry about the weather. I do have to say it added an interesting element last year and showed who the die hard chicken people were, both buyers and sellers.
This year is going to be great, just hope I have birds to sell...I am getting calls daily with people buying all my birds I have hatched, so could be interesting, might have lots of time to peruse the other booths.

i am sooo excited....i can hardly wait to go...

I know what you mean about people wanting to buy everything as soon as it hatches, hidden! Well, actually they would be happier with mature hens, but are willing to settle for started chicks. I continue to be surprised by the amount of interest there is out there for heritage chickens. this will definitely be a great sale!

Hey krl,

You bet, I will have a limited amount of Barred Rocks for sale. The girls have been laying some decent large brown eggs..... been making their way to the fridge. hehe
But there are a few in the bator.
