R.Roo, do you lamb twice a year? I am trying to figure out why you lamb at such an ungodly time of year! Or do you just like frozen hands? Hee hee!

This year will be my first year kidding in nice weather. I have delt with peeling dead frozen kids off walls 3 Winters ago in Feb during a cold snap. All born healthy and doing fine, but when -30 hits kids slept against the walls for some strange reason. I am so happy to be kidding in May this year.
Mind I was tempted to get your lambs due to I am still milking goats. Then I thought life is too busy. Good luck with the rest of lambing. Hopefully the weather stays nice.

The ewe is the one that produced my best ram, a single, but she had quadruplets this time..I dont think she was prepared for so many extra. The little ram was the best of the 4.

Good question. I have a two year old Pyr,and he is still such a puppy. I am worried he may want to play with the newborns.

Sad to hear but I agree. My Sister in Law raises sheep and buys 10 LGDs at a time. Expects fewer than five of them to work out. Gets rid of the rest.
My Anatolian chewed newborn lamb's ears. He seems to have settled down since then but I'd never put him in a barn with just the lambing ewes. He's great at keeping predators away and is respectful of the livestock but is bonded more with the property and me than any livestock. It's OK but not really what I wanted.
Glad the lambs found a good home.
