It appears that there will be a swap this Sunday, October 7th. It may be the last of the year so if you are looking for something, or looking to get rid of something, this may be the last chance until the Spring.
We will also probably have an OPC meeting afterwards so if you want to be a member and show your support for the club, ask one of us where and when it is and come and sit in on the meeting.

As usual, time and place are the same. If you're not sure what that means, check out the website:

Awesome. Have the day off, will be bringing something just don't know what! It will be fun to put a few faces to names. Smile

Did we have a vote on this being the last swap of the year. The weather has been incredible.

Hi Debbie,

I think the November swap will go ahead, weather permitting and we will see where we are from there. I think the plan is to take a few months off in the winter, unless people are still interested, and weather permitting. Then start up again in Feb or March.
I will try to get the minutes out in the next few days.

Quite a good turnout, so good that parking became an issue. A special thanks to Buckerfieds for advertising the swap on their street sign.

The support for a swap next month was too strong to not have one.

On the subject. We started with the idea that the poultry swap was to be a community event, and not just for any individual nor group of individuals. Therefore, the way I view the situation is that as long as people have birds to sell and we have a director willing to attend, there is no reason to cancel any swap.

That said, I expect us to shut down in December and January, but I'm flexible if the community has a different viewpoint.

Sorry I had to rush off and miss the meeting. I agree next month weather permitting is a good idea. Not sure it's worth it for Dec. Jan. Feb.
Does anyone remember who had day old chicks or will have?
