Canadian Heritage Breeds ~ Poultry Display ~ Peavey Mart Oct 12-13th

Canadian Heritage Breeds will be putting on a Heritage Poultry for Peavey Marts Customer Appreciation Days on October 12-13th.
CHB will be doing displays at both the Red Deer and Leduc Peavey Mart locations. The Poultry Displays will be set up in the Garden Centre.

Feel free to stop bye and chat with us and get some great deals at Peavey Mart!

Kyle, are there opportunities for members to participate in these displays? Could we represent the club, bring birds or put out advertisements for the display?

Yes Sue there are opportunities for club members to help with the breeds displays. We know that there is not much time until the display date. Feel free to email myself or Liz for questions on the Red Deer Display and Rico for the Leduc display. If interested in suppling a bird for display please contact the coordinators asap so we can have cage spaces available.

CHB likes to try and display a wide array of Breeds. Some of us board members also keep a few birds for displays that aren't breeds we raise to help round out the displays.

As for advertising of the event will be mostly covered by the Peavey Mart Stores. Also feel free to check out our Canadian Heritage Breeds Facebook group for updates on events.



Note: All animals used for display purposes must be purebred, represent the breed well, be healthy and free of pests, be in good feather.

These are the shirts Peavey Mart had made up for us. Our logo is about 15 times as big as the peavey logo on the front, head office had a good laugh about it! You won't be able to miss us at the display.

The public was quite excited to see poultry is so many size, shapes and colors! Most are looking forward to the Nov CHB Show!
