Buckerfields has asked that sellers park on the side of the lot next to the store.

Omega Blue Farms will be bringing their Wheaton inspired mixed red Ameraucana flock, breeders and pullets.

Moving forward, we are discontinuing this line so that we can dedicate more towards our Black Ameraucanas. However, the reds have been more popular for chick sales and have better feed to egg conversion than the meatier blacks. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to supply chicks from a unique locally developed line.

If anyone is seriously interested in a breeding flock, contact me prior to the start of the sale and we can arrange for you to have first pick at the swap.

If anyone did go searching for the newsletter (on the Newsletter page), my apologies, I had a few issues with the site but the links for the newsletter should be back up again.

For those who haven't looked, the latest newsletter gives a few tips for the upcoming show season here on the island.

Next month, I'll give a quick rundown on the results of our slaughter trials where I processed at 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 weeks. We will also move into heritage poultry recipes that we are trialing. If anyone has a a favourite tried and true method and/or recipe, please feel more than welcome to share.
