I just ordered some off Ebay two days ago at the suggestion of a fellow member on this site who orders from them as well. The little ones come in size 2 - 6 and are made of rubber.

Here's the link:

Berry Hill also has a wide variety of sizes and colors of legbands. You can order through their online catalogue. Good service and quick delivery!

best and cheapest way we found to mark as chicks is to buy those big tubs of plastic zip ties in different colors and snip the ends off close w/ cutters once you get them just snug enough they wont fall off at their ankle.
You do have to change them as they grow but it is no diff than those spiral ones, boy do they cut into their leg when they get too tight!
They are very cheap and I find they work well.

i went to the dollar store and bought a box of 100 little hair elastics wrapped in thread. Stretchy, tough, easy to see. Seemed to work rather well. The regular elastic ones also work, but they were thin I bought ones for braiding horse manes and they were really good and cheap.
