Cowichan Valley Feather Fanciers first poultry swap of the year is coming up soon. Starts at 11am at the Buckerfields on the south side of Duncan, BC.

Sale is open to all and has no buyer/seller fees. However, we request that regular sellers become club members and that all sellers make their contact information available to buyers and club representatives.

Club details can be found at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Also, club meeting is to follow at 1pm at the Agricultural Office on Clements. Here is a note from our secretary:

"Hi Everyone, just a reminder that the Annual General Meeting is Sunday the 26th of February. As this is election of officers it is important you attend so your voice is heard.

Also, be sure your membership is up to date as we are now preparing the Members/breeders list and if your membership is not current you will not be on it.

Thank you, Vicki"

When I drove by Buckerfields this morning their new sign board says the poultry swap starts at 10 am! There will likely be more early birds than usual!

Turns out the advertised 10am start was a mistake by Buckerfields that will be corrected for future sales.

Sun was shining, although I drove through a few snow flurries during the day.

Sale went well though and I counted about 20 vendors with a nice assortment of birds. The sale offered decent quality breeding stock, chicks, and even POL layer pullets.
