Thanks to HR I was able to get this home the other day. It was built by a carpentry student at the local college, they are small scale houses complete w/garage and picture window...built a little heavier than needed but I have plans to sheet in half of it and wire in the rest to make a mini house for a hen and chicks or as a brooder for ducks or chicks in the summer time.
After we got it home it snowed a foot!

I should keep a copy of that picture. Everybody keeps telling me that the things I build are extra sturdy, but the construction here beats mine. It should make a good coop, but you might want to put the cat elsewhere.

so sturdy it will not be very portable but I guess I will be able to put fence posts under and roll away a bit in order to clean it out....?
We have some small pieces of metal roofing so I think that will make the roof, then maybe a hinged door through the picture window so someone small can fit in or at least able to reach in to catch chickens if necessary.
It is much more than was needed for a chicken house but the price was right, although it did cost a bit to get it here....
