I am looking at getting some sheep flock software, my flock is expanding and I would like to keep good records. A computer program looks interesting, just wondering what everyone else uses?
We have some pure bred and some commerical, mostly commercial. But would like to do pedigree's since i keep most of my ewe lambs to build up my flock and want to know in a couple years who belongs to who.

The princess names will still work for our main commerical flock. I am trying out a demo of a program tonight, looks pretty good for what I need.
The purebreds, well they will have to be registered as a number, but they can still have princess names for us to use. LOL

The girls are guessing names for these first lambs to be born, should be an interesting name year.

I have a program you might be interested in. It is actually for small animals, but should work awesome for something like this. I will see if I can find the disk and do a copy for you. It has reg name, reg number, call name, health records, birth records, pedigrees ect. I can't remember what it is called for sure off hand, but worked awesome for the dogs, and I am even using it for my Canadians and Tennessee walkers and the 2 reg quarter horses we have. It is a software program that I purchased from Australia off ebay, and like I said, works awesome!! You would have to install the updates for it, but that is free.

I am using a demo right now of FlockFiler, it seems pretty good. Does up the pedigrees and such, also can log different records. So will try it for a bit and see how it works.

If you find you would like to try this one please contact me and I will make up a copy for you. I think if I remember right it is called kintracks or something along that lines. Good luck with the one you are using!!
