my hen eggs were all rotten. =( the hen is back on the nest there was 3 other broody hens in there with her. she attacked all of them. do you think she would sit on eggs for another 3 weeks? or are chicks a better option?

she might sit again but i would make sure she has her own safe private space to brood and once shes settled give her eggs that you want her to hatch. i dont think just giving chicks to a hen that is in broody mode is a good idea

How to trick a broody hen.

Give her eggs and let her sit on them a week or so.

In the deepest dark of night slide chicks under her and pull out the eggs.

She should accept them. If you do it in the day and she can see she may kill them.
