What is the mottled one Izzy? Is it a cross?

She's an old Black east indie hen. They get white feathers with age. She is quite popular with visitors.

That's very interesting! Do the males do the same thing with age?

The males generally do not get white but females like the one pictured can put a beautiful green sheen on their young.

wow! love them the coloring is so awesome
I've always wanted more ducks, only had a few in the past they was just pets.
Do you have any opinions on a single one of these raised from hatch.. would they be as friendly as a Muscovy hand reared? Or even a couple together?

I have some that will come close to me and 2 of them will eat out of my hand. Not quite as curious as my call ducks but close. I haven't had Muscovies so I can't compare them.

Not quite, but pretty close for sound. Some of my call duck hens get so worked up they get high pitch, it's really funny.
