One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one
...........

So this is the soundtrack in my head today and well now. Who doesn't love a good TDN song. It's simply because my single chick that I was super proud of is quite the handful. Ha ha pun intended. Ohm Emh Gee I can't wait till I get some more hatched. This little scurge is everywhere and into anything and wanting to follow me anywhere. Waits for me to come out and screams till I open up the brooder and then comes running over to me. Its cute and exhausting. I think I actually forgot how much work babies were, my bad. In reality I would rather have 10 than one  Very Happy
I've put a mirror in the brooder, given it the whole brooder to run and double checked the temp, food and water. Am I possibly missing anything till my next singlet hatches out?

Oh yah and did it imprint with me? Is that why it eats when I put my hand down at the dish or am I crazy  affraid

I babble its been a long day that ended with me picking myself up out of the bird poop mud algae combo that's just outside my pen while trying to herd my scovies in for the night. So I sit here freshly showered (of course  Laughing ) pondering out loud or at least on screen.

Okay so now I have 2. The second one hatched out the next day. I could have sworn I could hear peeping under broody mama, but couldn't find anything. I thought I was losing my mind but the next morning their it was in the very back corner.
So now there are 2. Which is way better cause they keep each other company. Along with the mirror.
Being my 1st year doing anything like this I know now I will have some major mistakes. I think I am okay with this. Learning process and all. My next hatch is set for the end of next week. I hope I get a couple more from that hatch. I have lost a couple of my banty hens this spring from old age so I can only hope I can replace them.
